Casimir Effect on spaced metal plates effectively sends out the tide of virtual particles in the sea of time. An atom traveling through this lower density field will appear to get smaller but is actually experiencing a reduction in dimensional confinement and simply twisting away or submerging from our perspective. The volume of the cavity is greatly increased because the normal width of an "instant in time" has been increased.

Virtual Particles determine the minimum distance an electron can achieve in its quest to reach the proton at it's nucleus. Virtual Particles have no charge but push the electrons toward the "past" side of their nuclei like tiny self repelling tether balls tied to the mesh of a tennis racket inserted into a moving stream of water. they constantly oscillate between the past and present as the virtual particles from the future squeezing around the nuclei of all matter in the present and trying to pin all the tethered electrons into the past. The like charges of these electrons repell against being pinned together and a never ending oscillation between the flow of time and repelling electrons is established.

The observed effect is the uncertainty principle. An observer on the electron would be moved seamlessly from point to point oscillating between electrical repulsion by electrons and physical displacement by the stream of virtual particles. Observation from any other perspective in the present will indicate the electron is instantly moving from location to location. This tells us that electrons are already knee deep in the sea of time and that our perception of the "Present" is aproximately the diameter of an atomic nuclei. If circulated thru plasma coils at high speeds they will interact heavily with virtual particles providing lift.
